When the firm was formed in 2008, each partner had been with a big law firm. The idea was to form a boutique law firm that would do the same kind of work – the same quality of work that had been done at the big firm – but to offer the firm’s clients much lower billing rates; a better, more client-focused billing philosophy; and more responsiveness with an emphasis on problem solving.
